Recycling of Technical Fibers and Development of Sustainable Textile Structures
Population growth, consumption and environmental problems are increasing in the world. In this framework, environmental damages and especially recycling of many types of products and materials are being studied. Although the textile and ready-to-wear sector is one of the sectors with the highest consumption, recycling practices in the sector are not at satisfactory levels. Within the scope of the project, in order to close this gap; it is aimed to recycle the wastes of the technical products produced both after the product and during the product formation. Thanks to the recycling of these and similar mixed products; both value-added products will be obtained and less consumption of resources (water, energy, labor) will be ensured. The main objective of the project is the secondary use of yarns and fabrics converted from technical textile wastes and revealing the possibilities of this use.
